In rural France is a very happy farmer. One who now has the tractor of his dreams – customised to meet his exact needs. That farmer is 28-year-old Alexis Neveu, winner of the #VINtoWin competition. The tractor is a 2019 Vario 720 which has been completely transformed by a team of experts in the Special Refurb by Fendt.

It’s time for Alexis Neveu, winner of the #VINtoWin competition to be reunited with his 720 Vario – as the team of experts in Germany nears the end of the complete overhaul in the Special Refurb by Fendt.
Cameras in the workshop have captured the entire refurb journey - which has seen some nerve-wracking and challenging moments, as well as some great examples of how teamwork and partner collaboration can achieve magical results.

After 18,000 hours of intense work restoring the 18-year-old MF 5455, things at the Massey Ferguson facility in Beauvais, France are getting really exciting as the refurb now nears completion. The travel arrangements have been made to return the refurbished tractor back to its home on the farm in Wales. The date for the ‘Big Reveal’ has been set, and the final push is on.

Since it was announced that they had won first prize in our AGCO #VinToWin competition, UK farmers Nigel and Robert Bowyer have waved goodbye to their 18-year-old tractor which has clocked up more than 18,000 hours of cross farming work and taken receipt of the loan vehicle.

We are now well underway with the Ultimate Refurb of our Vin to Win prize winner’s MF 5455. While Nigel and Robert Bowyer have been given a Massey Ferguson loan tractor for the duration of the Ultimate Refurb, the MF team at Beauvais have been busy carefully dismantling their well-loved tractor, diagnosing what needs to be addressed and getting stuck into the refurb.

The winner of the Massey Ferguson ultimate refurb was an MF 5455, owned by Robert Bowyer from Wales. The refurb team in Beauvais have been busy working on the machine since it arrived with them, and we will soon be able to share more information on how it’s progressing - but in the meantime, we thought we’d look back at the history of the winning machine, the MF 5455, which was manufactured in Beauvais, France between 2003 and 2012.

The winner of the Valtra ultimate refurb was a Valtra 6350 Hitech owned by Christoph Brunner from Austria. We can’t wait to share more information about the refurb of this machine but in the meantime, we thought we’d look back at the 6350 which was manufactured in Suolahti, Finland between 1999 and 2007.
