Land-Based Service Engineering Modern Apprenticeship - Level 3

Course Content

The course content covers a broad range of modules including electrics and electronics, hydraulics, engine technology, fuel injection and emissions systems, transmissions, welding, workshop practices and health & safety. The course delivery includes the diagnosis and repair of a wide range of agricultural machinery and tractors. Both theoretical and practical training sessions are delivered in our industry standard training facilities.

Course Length

Approximately 3 years (plus time for the End Point Assessment) to include 20% off the job training that is gained by attending 36 weeks approximately at SRUC Barony, plus additional enhanced technical and product training with AGCO.

Entry Requirements

The minimum course entry requirements are English and Maths at National 4 level, plus two other subjects at National 5 level.

• Level 3 Land-based Service Engineering Modern Apprenticeship

• City & Guilds Air Conditioning training & certification

• LANTRA FLT/Telehandler training & certification

• First Aid at work

• Abrasive wheels

• AGCO Core Technical Training

• AGCO Power engines

• AGCO Online Training
